DirectorJames Hughes has Directed for TV, Stage and Short Film.

He was also hired to be a Speaker for the Screenwriting Expo in Hollywood, where he taught a popular class on short filmmaking to students from around the world.

For the last two years he has been hired to be a Director at the London Screenwriters’ Festival for their Actor Table Reads. He has now directed over twenty-five sessions for the festival.

Along with this he serves on Writers’ Guild Film Committee and their Awards Jury. .

Recently, James was asked by BAFTA to be a panellist for their sustainability in film event.  He was the only short filmmaker in the country to be invited to talk on stage at the event in the Princess Anne Theatre in London.

His short film, The Velvet Abstract, was produced in six continents, and features CG and animating talent from The Hunger Games, Star Wars, Avatar, Game of Thrones, The Martian, and many more. The environmental film is narrated by Tobias Menzies and is scored by the world-renowned Composer Jean-Pascal Beintus. It is now on the film festival circuit.

His follow-up, The Inuring, an anti-bullying drama recently had its world premiere in London, and is now on release across the festival circuit.
